Sixth and seventh grade gifted students traveled to Waynesburg University for the Powering Pittsburgh Competition. Students were tasked with creating a cleaner, safer, more energy efficient method of powering Heinz Field and/or the great city of Pittsburgh. Research was conducted, presentations planned, and models constructed before students presented their ideas to the judges at the regional competition. Congratulations to Andy, Malachi, Genny, and Morgan for coming in 1st place with their project, Pittsburgh Pedals! They will compete at the championship round at Heinz Field on November 19th. Best of luck!! Comments are closed.
